Mike Dubber has engraved the gun with a variety of scrolls,
borders geometric patterns and precious metal inlays. The engraving theme is
that of the State of Florida and its rich heritage of Seminole Indian art.

All borders of the gun are inlaid in 24K yellow gold' wire
terminating in leafy vignettes and scrolls.

The serial number, CCA 2003, is also inlaid in 24K gold

Entire undercarriage of the 1911 is detailed with 24K gold
point-pattern "diamondback" inlays, inspired by the decorative art found on
clothing, weaponry, shoulder bags and other such ornamentation of the Seminole
Indians.

The trigger guard is inlaid with a raised 24K gold Seminole
Chief's piece_ pipe with feathers.

The sides of the receiver, slide and associated safeties and
other external parts are engraved and inlaid in American style scroll.

The Rampant Colt and certain parts of the original factory
stamping are inlaid in flush 24K gold.

A portion of the original stamped Colt Manufacturing
nomenclature is also inlaid in 24K gold.

The left panel of the slide is inlaid with a 24K raised gold
ribbon dedicating the 1911 to the 2003 Colt Collectors Association annual
meetings in Tampa, Florida.

The right side of the slide is inlaid with a 24K raised gold
ribbon letter with "The Sunshine State with a central raised inlay of the
Florida State Flag done in sterling silver.

The top of the slide is also bordered in 24K gold with leaf
terminals.

At the front of the ejection port is a mirror image American
scroll pattern with a 24K gold rope tie in the center and 24K background fill in
selected areas. At the rear of the opening is a design motif dedicated to the
host state. It embraces Florida's coastal scenery including a Royal palm=
tree with palm ferns at its base. The palm and plant life is raised inlaid 18K
green gold.. A setting sun is inlaid in pure platinum. The motif is surrounded
in a 24K gold frame.

Gripped in gorgeous, carved ivory, the team of Dan Chesiak and
Dennis Holland complete this beautiful gun. The left grip panel depicts a
beautiful raised carved scene of Seminole Indian life, complete with a Seminole
Indian and surrounding trees and palms. The right panel is a raised carved ivory
of the famous Florida gator, complete with his habitat.

Housed in a beautiful standup, walnut display case made by Les
Yoder. The spectator can easily get a complete 360 degree view of the gun as it
sits upright in the glass casing. The lid lifts open for easy access and comes
with a descriptive standup plate that sits inside the case along with a wine
colored velvet interior and movable holders that display seven rounds of plated
dummy ammo and a gold plated clip. The future proud owner can also take the gun
from its standup display and store it in the French fitted wine colored velvet
drawer underneath.
